Sika ViscoFlow®-1050

HIGH RANGE WATER REDUCING CONCRETE ADMIXTURE WITH ENHANCED WORKBILITY RETENTION

Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 is a 3rd generation polymer based high performance superplasticizer for producing soft consistency concrete. It is particularly suited for use in concretes that require low water/cement ratios and / or high water reductions with excellent workability retention properties of up to 3 hours.

Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 combines different modes of actions. By adsorption on the surface of the fines and keeping them apart while the hydration is in progress, Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 effects the following concrete properties:
  • Extended consistence retention;
  • Improved cohesion properties;  
  • Improved early and ultimate strengths;
  • Excellent placement characteristics; 
  • Improved rheology;
  • Improved durability;
  • Reduced segregation and bleeding;
  • Reduced drying shrinkage.
Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 contains neither chlorides nor other corrosion inducing substances and can therefore be used without any restrictions for reinforced concrete structures.

Utilizações

Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 is used for the following types of concrete:
  • Applications that require extended consistence retention without delayed setting;
  • Suitability for use across broad range of consistence classes from S4 – SF3; 
  • High performance concrete;
  • Self compacting concrete;
  • High rise/pumped concrete;
  • Slip form concrete;
  • Improved effectiveness in higher ambient temperature

Concrete placing: With the use of Sika ViscoFlow®-1050, concrete of highest quality is being produced, however state of the art concrete technology, such as mixing, placing, vibrating and curing must be respected and applied. Curing: Effective measures for concrete curing must be followed

Notas importantes

Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 is added to the gauging water prior to its addition to the dry mix or added separately to the wetted concrete mix. For optimum utilization of the ultra-high range water reducer we recommend a minimum wet mixing time of 60 seconds. When adding the balance of the batching water to adjust concrete consistency this should be done after a minimum of 2/3 of the wet mixing time to avoid surplus water in the concrete

Compatibilidade

Sika ViscoFlow®-1050 may be combined with  many other sika products. Trials must be performed before combining products in a concrete mix.
